In reviving the original Tempest typeface to create Wolpe Tempest, Monotype built on the original design but also created alternate designs for many letters. These new characters have flourishes on entry and exit strokes that add more energy and movement to the original design. The typeface includes three weights – regular, bold and black -in addition to Greek and Cyrillic versions. Wolpe Tempest is one of the five designs in The Wolpe Collection of typefaces.
